Continuing the ‘no more soundchecks’ series of unplugged gigs, interesting music promotions and Vocoustics Promotions we will be presenting another show in conjunction with the I Heart UTG campaign.
Formed as a distraction from, and interpretation of, their irreversibly turbulent romantic lives and disproportionately religious upbringings, King James is ghostly, hymnal folk stories of the weak and the shamed performed by Laurence Collyer and Johny Lamb. The religious aspect of their songs is confused, unhappy, accusing and frequently misinterpreted.
Johny and Laurence will be supporting themselves, each performing short solo sets as Thirty Pounds of Bone (on-edge sea-shanty folk) and The Diamond Family Archive (haunting, tance-like, dark-heart laments).
