Dominic Savage is a graduate of the National Film and Television School who has won several television BAFTA awards including one for best new director with ‘Nice Girl’ and best single drama for ‘When I Was 12’. He directed the highly acclaimed ‘Out of Control’ for BBC Screen Two winning the Michael Powell Award for Best British Film at the Edinburgh Film Festival in 2002 and the Royal Television Society Award for Best Single drama in 2003.

Dominic will be making a personal appearance at DCA to introduce the film that recently won him the title of ‘Best New European Director’ at Zlin film festival in Czech Republic. He will also talk about his other recently acclaimed films tackling contemporary social issues. Young people featured at the heart of much of his work and the fresh and compelling ‘Love + Hate’ shows his remarkable talent for working with young and inexperienced cast. Discovery are delighted to welcome him to Dundee to introduce his film and participate in the festival.
