Date: Thursday, 8th March 2018, 11am-4pm
Location: The W OR M
This event is produced by Jessica Barrie and is part of the W OR M / OPEN programme.

BECOMING WOKE: Art as Action on International Women’s Day is a series of events held on what is one of the most important dates for women around the world.

The day will comprise discussions around art and activism and what we can do as feminists to get active in our communities. There will be a chance to make signs for a demonstration in the afternoon, which will take place on the Castlegate around the infamous Mercat Cross (once a famous site for witches). After the demonstration, we will return back to The W OR M for some film screenings and performances held by artist Donna Rose. Donna will be joining us from Ireland and as well as screening her film, will be discussing the crucial REPEAL movement in Ireland, Witches for Choice, and how to become woke.

Join us to celebrate the solidarity of womankind. All welcome.
