After a fantastic turnout for the debut in December, Open Knowledge Networks proved to be a winner again on Friday 30 January with just under 100 attendants filling Peacock’s gallery. The evening included digital fun and games, talks by various media professionals, drinks and music and will now be regularly held at Peacock Visual Arts in 2009.

Open Knowledge Networks aims to bring together New Media artists, musicians, filmmakers, designers, programmers and anybody who works creatively with technology to share experience and exchange ideas.

“It’s great to see so many people up for learning about different aspects of digital media – and also great to see that Aberdeen does in deed have a vibrant community in this area – networking! what a way to show people that it’s “what you do – not where you do it” that matters. I do look forward to the next one…” – Philip Thompson, Creative Cultures Scotland.
