The Lanarkshire born singer songwriter is best known for fronting Scottish Rockband De Rosa – critically lauded and championed by John Peel and Steve Lamaq – as well as writing, recording and playing with many of Scotland’s finest musicians including Barry Burns (Mogwai), Robert Johnston (Life Without Buildings), King Creosote and Malcolm Middleton.
Describing his sound as ‘Indie-Pop-Folktronica’, Milne is a lynchpin in Aberdeen’s music scene. Steven Milne wears many hats; musician, promoter, DJ, booker, you name it. Hardest working man in showbusiness. Best-known as lead singer in respected Scottish indie-pop band The Little Kicks, he’s now branching out with some more mind-blowingly good solo material.
ONE MAN UNIT
In addition to some fantastic music from Martin John Henry, Peacock’s artists in residence, Paul Wiersbinski and Wieland Schönfelder, will be letting loose the ONE MAN UNIT from 7pm. They will be premièring their hybrid of man and electronic sculpture in an interactive performance in Peacock’s courtyard (outside the gallery) so get down early and join in the fun!
