For our second look into the archive we’ve selected a work by another one of our earliest workshop users and a master of the linocut Bob Bain. His work is a particular favourite of ours and although Bob is sadly no longer with us we have been in contact with his family about the opportunity to show some of the work he made with us sometime in the future.
‘Spirit of the Wood’
by Bob Bain
This one has been selected from our first book Peacock at 10:
“Three Printworkshops at the Fruitmarket Gallery, Edinburgh, 1975
This exhibition was a joint promotion by the three Scottish print workshops – Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen. This was our first major show outside Aberdeen and we learned a lot from it”
If anyone has photos of the other prints from that exhibition we’d love to see them.
